susannah 2 Posted May 16, 2007 Hey, I must admit to not being very familiar with Falwell. Was he the guy that was lampooned in "The people vs Larry Flynt"? You know who I think is a real bloody freak bubble? That creepy Benny Hinn. Susannah

You know who I think is a real bloody freak bubble? That creepy Benny Hinn. Susannah Yah, that Benny Hinn is a nasty piece of work. I heard that he is currently conning his flock of sheep out of their cash because he wants a private jet. He plans to call it Dove. And all that naked greediness performed in the name of Jesus! Now that is just plain weird. Love that description, by the way...bloody freak bubble.:faint: LOL
green 6 Posted May 17, 2007 Just think, he created his own legacy. He'll forever be known as "that guy who protested against the teletubby" and "the guy who blamed 9/11 on the gays, liberals, and pro-lifers." Here's a CNN article on him: Jerry Falwell: moral majority? maybe; intellectual midget? for sure.
susannah 2 Posted May 17, 2007 Hey Green, Sometimes I can't sleep and I turn on the TV and those scary televangelists are on. Something about Benny Hinn really creeps me out to be honest. He does the whole "healing" circus sideshow where he pushes people to the ground violently etc etc. It is so fake. Who is auditing the money he is fleecing out of the faithful flock also? harlito 0 Posted May 17, 2007 it's a shame that we have to talk ill of a dead man. If he didn't leave such a legacy of hate, then no one would speak ill of him. That's the legacy he left, and obviously he created a tremendous amount of ill will and bad feelings. When people are truly good and loving, when they die no one speaks badly of them but rather Celebrate their life and say kind things in turn. He's reaping precisely what he sowed. I agree. I can't imagine anyone having the same thoughts about Billy Graham. Graham might have shared beliefs with Fallwell but he never said anything hateful about anybody. I think "hate" is such a strong word but Falwell is a part of a group of people that kept me from going to church. He did more harm than good... until the day he died. AshevilleEddie 14 Posted May 18, 2007 I watched a few episodes of the Teletubbies to see what all the commotion was about and, I have to be honest with you, David Hasselhoff started looking pretty good to me. Ok, eww! That's just creepy, Mark!
marjon9 6 Posted May 18, 2007 Hahaha! I think his stylist is called road kill by other saner folks, eh. After these comments I went to Google to look and see what Benny Hinn's hair looks like. His hair reminds me of the intro to Hawaii 5-0, in case anyone remembers that. What is he thinking? Why make yourself a laughing stock?
marjon9 6 Posted May 18, 2007 Ok, eww! That's just creepy, Mark! Actually, I bought myself a Teletubbies outfit and I wear it to work now. People seem to look at me quite a bit. It makes me see that I really am as attractive as I think I am.
susannah 2 Posted May 18, 2007 Hey, Australian 60 minutes did a big expose on Benny Hinn a couple of years ago. He had the chutzpah to tell some parents of terminally ill children that if they would only believe more faithfully ,their children would be healed completely. Absolute shyster in my book. And he has a fugly hairdo;) Susannah
