I picked up a bottle at GNC (expensive!) and stuck it in the fridge, but haven't even popped the top yet. Maybe I'll try it when I get home from work tonight, since you've remnded me its there! :)

I picked up the Isopure non-flavored and haven't tried it yet. Hoping I can add it to something that I like the taste of and get Protein without the yucky flavors! Lots of people said they like the option of adding it to drinks, applesauce, etc. Just a suggestion. :)

I just ordered a drink from' Supplementwarehouse.com' called Fuzzy Navel, had good reviews, I can't take this powder that I bought to much longer.

The Fuzzy Navel is a powdered juice....so we'll see.

Also bought a book called' weight loss surgery cook book for dummies'...takes you from appetizers thru to deserts! very good book! Great info on Snacks that was helpful...along with meal's do's an don'ts...one thing that I didn't know was white flour Pasta sticks together in your stomach making to hard to digest, now I don't eat white flour Pasta but ya never know if your at a friend's house and that is what he or she cooked,..whole wheat is best...just say'n.

I've been drinking Isopure RTD mixed with Water and Crystal Light. So far my favorite combination has been Isopure Apple Melon and apple flavored Crystal Light (WalMart brand actually). The grape is just ok. The fruit punch and mango peach are both pretty good. There's also an orange flavor I've heard is also good.

I love the black tea with lemon! Mix it with half regular tea or just drink it over ice! It tastes like the Lipton or snapple packets.

So glad my nut recommended it.

I have tried the alpine punch before but couldn't stand it so I was hesitant to get this one, but it's amazing!

I found the best drink thus far, it's called Fuzzy Navel, I ordered box of 10 just to try,it is way better then the shakes, of course I drink both but this drink sort of helps break up the bordom....check out SupplementWarehouse.com official site, going to try a few other flavors.

My date is Tues Nov18, saw my PCP today and he cleared me,..nothing else to do but pack my bag!!

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
