Hi Donna, and welcome. Your day is 2 days after mine. Are you on liquids right now? And what hospital will you be at?

Thanks so much for the welcome. I'm on a two week pre-op. Requirements per day are carbs: below 30, protien: 70, Fat: low. I'm a total carbaholic, so it has been a challenge. I've done other low carb diets before but never this low! I'm petrified of complications tho, so that has been a great motivator to do as I'm told, lol! I'm mostly doing shakes with some cottage cheese or eggs. 24 hours before I'm supposed to go all Clear Liquids.

How about you? Is yours similar, how are you feeling? So far, I'm really excited but expecting to get nervous soon too. I have to admit seeing your countdown ticker gave me a few butterflies.

I'm on the 2 week liquid diet too. My first week was the pits, and I actually cheated. This 2nd week has been better and I've been totally committed to sticking to the 5 shakes a day. No meals allowed for me, but I can have sugar free popsicles and drinks so that helps.

I'm feeling wonderful, no nerves flowing at all, just a little anxiousness to get it over with. My husband has been my #1 supporter and all of a sudden yesterday he had second thoughts. That's something he has to deal with because I have to stay focused. Of course, if I could loose on my own I would have been done it. LOL.

Anyway don't let the ticker scare you. hehehe. We have 1 week to go so LET'S DO THIS!!!

What a great attitude, thanks for the encouragement. I'm definitely to the point where 5 shakes a day sounds more appealing than eating anything I'm allowed to have. So sick of cottage cheese, lol!

I am super excited to move forward. Although I'm not at my heaviest weight right now I never seem to be able to keep the weight off for any significant amount of time. I've lost and gained a thousand pounds I think. So although, this is certain to be hard, I feel like it can't possibly be harder than the last two decades of dieting.

It is such a blessing to have a supportive husband, and I'm sure those 2nd thoughts are just a manifestation of his love for you. I've sent you a friend request, and would love to share our post-op experiences, and perhaps give each other a little extra support as we move toward a better life.

I'm with you on the up and down weightloss rollercoaster. Yo-yo dieting has done nothing but make me gain more than I had before starting. Oh...I'd love to have the cottage cheese..LOL that's actually one of my favorites!

I'll be more than happy to keep in touch and check in to see how you are doing. Support....can never have enough of it. Thanks for adding me hun. :-)

PS. I believe that is just what the hubster is going through...he's tough and will be ok.

Hi, I’m new here. I’m currently on the liver shrinking diet. So far so good, but I have to say I haven’t found a protein shake I like. Anyone have any suggestions please? My surgery date is September 17th.

Fairlife Core are by far the best. They taste just as they are - chocolate milk. You can either get the 26 grams or the 42 grams (harder to find and more expensive). For straight protein look at Bulksuppliments.com ..they have really good whey proteins and offer auto ship plus they test for purity. No taste or smell...

      2. BlondePatriotInCDA

Fairlife has strawberry, vanilla and of course chocolate. No more calories than other protein drinks. Stay away from Premiere, they're dealing with lawsuits due to not being honest about protein content.
