Constant night time gurgling is driving me crazy

Recommended Posts

So I don't know if this is just something to get used to or what. I had my sleeve almost six months ago and my gallbladder removed almost three months ago. Lately when I go to bed, I tend to either lay there while my stomach contracts and gurgles and acts weird for about 2 to 3 hours, or I fall asleep only to be woken up constantly by the gurgling and contracting. I assume there is food processing still going on, but I am puzzled as to why some nights this happens and some nights it does not. I eat different types of Protein and I normally eat my last meal about two hours before bed. Anyone else have this issue and know what is going on? It makes me such a grouch in the am...

Oh want to add that I also sleep with a cpap, which I had retritrated a few weeks ago since I have lost over 50 pounds now (although strangely enough I was still at the same setting as before). Not sure if that is bothering my stomach or what.

My constant daytime, morning time, moon time, evening time, all the darm time gurgling is driving me insane. What the hell? Why is this hhappening and when will it stop? I have been this way from day one. I take Dexilant already. So basically I have no answers for you as I'm seriously seeking help over here.

Had a sleeve in 2017, lost over 100 pounds. Had a DS surgery this year (2025) for more sustainable weight loss. 🤞

The 14th was my day. I am home and recovery is going pretty smooth. They even let me walk out of the hospital. Picture of me in recovery curtesy of my boyfriend lol.

Neat you have a pic of this day! I was sooo happy to get my surgery. It was well worth it! And I'm not even near my goal. I had surgery Dec. 2!
