going2servive 36 Posted November 6, 2014 I am 9 days into my 15 day pre op diet and I feel like things might be going down hill right now. My paper work states hunger will disappear around the 3 day mark, this has not happened at all but began to get stronger and more painful. I am very lethargic, so much so that I can not drive. Then this evening I start hearing and seeing in tunnel like vision and sight. Is this normal for what I am going through. I do not want to call my doc if this is normal. SuzeMuze 338 Posted November 6, 2014 I didn't have quite the same symptoms you did, but I was in the same boat that my hunger got worse the longer I was on the liquid diet. I did end up emailing my nutritionist, as I was a diabetic & was hungry to the point of getting dizzy & the "shakes" by midafternoon. (She didn't seem concerned, but suggested that I try a Protein shake that was a little higher in carbs so my sugar didn't drop too low. They were gross, anyway.) I found that by spacing out what I consumed rather than trying to fit it into a traditional mealtime format, it helped a bit- as did delaying my meals. It seemed like eating later in the day was a help to me. Good luck to you!

bluedreams86 61 Posted November 7, 2014 Are you drinking enough Water as well? I've read a few posts that people feel better. Maybe that would help. I start my liquid diet Monday and I'm dreading it.
