I have no clue how to tell and I don't want to keep going to find out!

But I started puree heaven today and I'm eating spoonfuls like before. And I feel like I have a gigantic burp in my chest is this full? Haha I don't know!

If you think you might be full, that's the best time to stop. Push it away and see how you feel in 5 minutes.

The advice I got from my NUT was to stop eating when I'm satisfied, not full. I take small bites and chew thoroughly and take 5-6 minutes between bites. This has helped a lot.

Yeah I don't take my time. I just bought baby spoons that will hopefully help me out.

@@Aribay1, I think so. See how it feels when you try it. I've been surprised at how little I eat to get to satisfied.

I still can't tell when I'm full I think I can when I feel pressure on my heart but I feel like I can still go.

@@Aribay1, when you feel that pressure you are full. To me it feels like a burp that wants to come up but isnt. It may be something called "frothing". This is your new anatomy creating froth to help digest the food and it may come up a little if you over do it.

Oh I do the same too. One giant burn. But when I take bites and swallow I burp a lot. Too fast?

Yes, could be and it may be creating Extra air as you swallow.

I get what I call my tupperware burp. Also can get hiccups or sneezes or a bit of runny nose.

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
