Elode 8,093 Posted November 5, 2014 Hello everyone! I am officially sleeved and leaving the hospital today in great spirits. I would just like to pass a tip along.....buy A plug in air freshener for your hospital room. My goodness I got so many complements on my wonderful smelling room From all the staff. It's funny. I even had One of my nurses come in my room and said she knew I was still here because my room smells heavenly. Everyone wanted to come in and sit with me lol!!! I have a private room so I didn't worry about offending a roommate. It's just a apple and cinnamon glade plug in. It does make the room feel more like "home" than a hospital room???? I just thought I would pass this along...as a comfort measure.
BigGirlPanties 957 Posted November 5, 2014 something like vanilla is good in most places...a very non-offensive smell and a natural odor killer but that's a great idea... helps YOU relax too
GreenEyes604 753 Posted November 5, 2014 What a wonderful idea! Thanks for sharing.
<3 Carolina Girl <3 84 Posted November 5, 2014 Adding it to my list. Great idea! I love the fresh cotton/clean breeze kind of scents.
downsizingdiva 459 Posted November 6, 2014 I always put some kind of air natural freshener but never a plug in one. Figured they wouldn't let u

LipstickLady 25,682 Posted November 6, 2014 I'm surprised a hospital would allow that. My daughter has asthma and is highly sensitive to air fresheners of any kind. That would kill her breathing.
cryssyd3 80 Posted November 6, 2014 I'm bringing an oil diffuser with natural oils. Hopefully the hospital has no problem with it. I had one when I have birth to my son but it was at a different hospital.

Elode 8,093 Posted November 6, 2014 @@LipstickLady I have my own private room so they allowed me to have it. I don't know if It would be different with a shared room? I would have asked permission if I were sharing. @@nprcowboy I got home late last night. My big comfy recliner is now my bed for the next few days my husband and daughter got it all set up for me so I'm comfortable while everyone is gone for the day. It's much easier to drink my fluids sitting up than laying in my bed! Thank you!

Inner Surfer Girl 12,015 Posted November 7, 2014 I am allergic to air fresheners and the oil diffusers in particular really irritate my eyes, but you did inspire me to dig out a couple of nice CDs (my surgery manual says each room has a cd player).
