I had surgery for gastric sleeve Oct.14 an I'm down 24 lbs. I feel pretty good but tire easily and seem to be consumed with how to get Water an Protein needs in..My weight had not changed since Oct.27 is this normal for weight to stall like this?

Try to use drinks that are high in Protein. ie: Isopure Zero carb - 20 oz. / 40 gm Protein. Premier Protein shakes - 11 0z/ 30 gm protein. Also carry a Water bottle around everywhere and drink all day long every chance you get.

Plus there's always get out and do some exercise.....walk, ride a bike, whatever.....it makes you more thirsty and you'll drink more. ;)

Yes! You're going to have periodic stalls now and then. No worries, as after the "stalls" down comes the weight sliding off almost on a daily basis. Be patient, the weight DOES COME DOWN if you follow your surgeon and nut's advise!

Just been waiting until time for my consult with my bariatric surgeon. It's scheduled for Jan 9th. Turns out I won't actually be seeing him. Apparently it'll be with his P.A.             Not sure what to expect. I thought this is where the surgeon would discuss the best surgery option for me. For years I had my heart set on the sleeve, but I've read so many people have issues with reflux - even if they've never had it before - that they've had to be revised to the bypass. I already deal with GERD & take 40 mg of Omeprazole daily, so I started studying about bypass and honestly, it seems like it might be the better choice for me. How can we discuss surgery options if the surgeon is not there?
What happened at your first consult? Trying to get an idea of what to expect, or maybe I should say, what NOT to expect.

I would like to know what questions you wish you had asked prior to your duodenal switch surgery?
