Can I eat this for the puree period 2 week post op? I have some at my house and want to know if I can use that.

It depends on what your surgeon allows. Did they give you an eating plan with approved and disallowed foods? I know some surgeons permit it -- mine doesn't as we aren't allowed grains or any low-protein food, particularly in the puree stage. But your surgeon may have entirely different rules.

Hello,

I didn't have a pureed stage. What if you put unflavored Protein powder in it? Then it's not a low Protein food. Still a grain though :( and high in carbs double :( .

I ate it when I was a child. I'll have to look at the carb content and see if it's too high even with unflavored Protein Powder. When I keep my carbs low--my appetite is less strong.

Blessings,

Kathleen

I'm week 2 post-op and Cream of Wheat is on my approved foods for the full liquid stage. Every surgeon has different criteria so if you're not sure, just give them a call.

It was the first meal I was served in the hospital the morning after my surgery. I've not had it since but it didn't bother my newly sleeved tummy at all

It's so interesting to me how all these surgeons are so different!

I ate it on in my pureed time period. Just see how you react. I did good the 1st time. Then threw it up the next time. After that, I was able to eat it.
