I need some help from my surgical pals! We need to represent and support each other. Please help me out below.

They just posted an article on the FitBit website about my journey. I am trying to get as many people as I can to comment on the article. Right now the story with the most comments only has 40 and it been a year. I want to set the lofty goal of having 100 comments in two weeks. Would you be able to help me out with this? Please share it around and get as many people involved as you can!

You are inspiration and I submitted a comment on fit bit. Which is what I am using as well. When I started I was barely getting 500 steps per day. I am up to 2000 steps. Yeah!

@@MsUjima Thank you so much for filling out the comment and for your kind words. Pass it around so I can hit that 100 comment goal! It means the world to me to have a community of people behind me supporting what I am doing. I hope that a lot of good will come for the bariatric community from putting myself out there.

Keep up the awesome work with the FitBit. It is my go to tracking system. Keep working at adding just a few extra steps each day. You will be surprised how quickly they add up.

@gahannagal. You can just scroll to the bottom of the page or there is a link in pink writing right under the title that says leave a comment. You can also click on that.

Thank you so much for your willingness to help me reach this lofty goal.

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
