I am one week and one day post op. My husband has been on me to get out the house other than my three walks I am taking daily. So I am doing it. I am taking my water bottle and I am going and getting my nails and toenails done FINALLY!!

Having the polish off my artificial nails since surgery is driving me nuts! I hate the way my nails look. And since I am feeling good I figured why not! I am proud of myself for how I have gotten thru this first week. I am getting in my Protein, my Water and my walking it is time to get my nails back to normal too!!!!

Excellent idea, as the more movement and getting back into your normal routine you do, the better the physical and mental healing process will go! Congrats on your excellent decision to get healthy!

You go girl, I must've been sleeved the same day as you 27 Oct. I've gotten out yesterday and today and walked, came home tired but also felt good for being out.

I need to get the polish back on my fingers and toes also. One day at a time.

Welcome to the other side.

Just been waiting until time for my consult with my bariatric surgeon. It's scheduled for Jan 9th. Turns out I won't actually be seeing him. Apparently it'll be with his P.A.             Not sure what to expect. I thought this is where the surgeon would discuss the best surgery option for me. For years I had my heart set on the sleeve, but I've read so many people have issues with reflux - even if they've never had it before - that they've had to be revised to the bypass. I already deal with GERD & take 40 mg of Omeprazole daily, so I started studying about bypass and honestly, it seems like it might be the better choice for me. How can we discuss surgery options if the surgeon is not there?
What happened at your first consult? Trying to get an idea of what to expect, or maybe I should say, what NOT to expect.

I would like to know what questions you wish you had asked prior to your duodenal switch surgery?
