ThinnerMe2015 14 Posted November 4, 2014 I live in Michigan does, anyone else on here live in Michigan? And does anyone else on her from Michigan, and also have Medicare & Medicaid for Insurance? If so Is or did the process go slow with those insurance people? I just got through doing my year long meetings with the dietitians and now I am waiting on referral cordinator to get me referral to see a psychiatrist. Om Wednesday I am going to a seminar, so hopefully the process speed up and I hope to get approved, the time of waiting is torture. Can anyone tell me if they are having the same issues of waiting with Medicare and Medicaid.

wildGoose 207 Posted November 4, 2014 Hi: I live in California, but I have medicare/medicaid. Medicare is the probably the easiest insurance to get. What they will coverage varies from state to state, believe Michigan, after a quick Googal, covers the RNYGB and the Band. While I wanted the SleveGastrectomy because it would be easier, I had the RNYGB last week. So far, I am doing well. It took me a year from the first intro talk to the actual surgery. It is a long hard process, at least it was for me. But just keep going. Do what they tell you, and you will make it to the surgery. Good Luck.
