I am less than a week away too now and also trying to get my ducks in a row. What is the wedge for your bed for? I have a big wedge pillow - will that do?

Gotta go buy broth and some more Jello but other than that, lets get this done! Anyone having their last meal? I think tomorrow morning may be cutting it close for a final Breakfast? What ta think?

Lol I shaved the night before thinking it would be weeks before I could again. No worries ladies. I was able to shave 3 days post op too! I should have used it as an excuse for longer ????

I was actually quite surprised at how quick recovery was. And that I had no issues with reaching my toes. I did need help tying my shoes the 1st couple days. But it was fine after that. I didn't even take any pain medication after I left the hospital.

I went this weekend and got my underarms and legs waxed thinking it would be weeks til I could do it again. And a pedicure. I went withs friend and we had Indian food after it was a nice day!

I ran out if time and steam. I am probably going to be up all night before surgery but what's new.

I have tons of paperwork and things that need done but can't be done in time. So just have to enjoy the ride.

Sunday we celebrated my sons bday so we went to Breakfast and I got potatoe pancakes eggs and bacon and coffee. I did have a loaded fry and some Halloween candy now I'm on liquids till Thursday .

Last week I did go have Indian food and a last steak and lobster who knows how long til I can digest steak again. And I had a cold stone icecream too.

All cravings have been met now hopefully after I lose this weight and enjoy a few bites of something when I want it and that will be ok. It's about making better choices and Portion Control . Portions were my downfall so praying that this sleeve allows me to get into smaller portions by habit and necessity !

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
