karebearr100 21 Posted November 2, 2014 Hi! My name's Kerry and I'm having the RNY on November 11th. I have been fighting me weight since I was a little girl. Diagnosed with pcos, insulin resistance, and hypothyroidism 9 years ago and being unable to fight the pounds that just keep on piling on regardless what I eat or how I exercise has been very depressing. With 4 grown kids and 2 little grandchildren I decided it was way past time to take control of my life. My husband is so very supportive as are my friends. I feel very blessed. I am glad to have found this support group. I have had a lot of questions answered and feel better knowing there are others who have felt the same way. Nancy E. 44 Posted November 2, 2014 Hi Kerry, Looks like we are on the same track! My surgery is the 12th. I am excited but also nervous. It would be great if we could share this journey together. I have two grown children and three grandkids. I am also blessed with a very supportive husband. I know we are both going to do great and it will be so exciting to be on the losers bench in the very near future. This time next year we will be our new, healthier selfs! Best wishes for an easy recovery!!
morganamazing 1 Posted November 7, 2014 I'm so excited for you. I had my surgery on nov 4th. I'm also type 2 diabetic, and have pcos also. I'm happy to hear that you've been able to have children and grand children. I had this surgery in hopes for a possibility of being able to have kids. I'm glad you've decided to do this! Good luck and I can't wait to see where your journey takes you.
