I have a lot of very good recipes to use. From potato to cauliflower (tastes a little like alfredo), to a version of chipotle and a Protein fruit smoothy. The recipe for the protein fruit smoothy along with a cooking demo are on my blog. The link is below. I would only recommend that you not use a seeded berry so close after surgery. I would say to us half mango and half peach. For any of the other recipes, feel free to send me a message and I can write them out for you.

last night I did a white chicken chili, used McCormicks white chicken chili mix, tyson's chicken (in the canned section, but the pouch) added 1/2 can of low fat cream of chicken to cream it up and the navy Beans. Served with 1/8th chunked up avocado, and melted cheese on top. pureed mine and the rest the crew got fritos underneath. We all were very happy in the belly. low thirties last night here in GA.

This morning I did a pureed version of a crabmeat omelet. Soft scrambled an egg, topped with 1/8 of a cup of warmed mixture of crabmeat, low fat cream cheese and avocado. It was yum yum also.

Are you allowed to have yogurt yet? I'm obsessed with Dannon light and fit strawberry cheesecake!

Mmm white chicken chili sounds yummy! Yes I have had yogurt a couple of times, I can't find the strawberry cheesecake tho :( I love regular strawberry too so it's all good :) I'm starting to get nervous that I'm not getting enough to eat....I just got home from a long day and I had some Protein Shakes here and there, but I didn't feel like cooking any meat when I got home so I had instant mashed potatoes w some ff gravy. It was so good and all but I only ate about 2 tbsp. and I was full. This is all so new, idk what to do with myself lol

Ricotta cheese with some Pasta sauce thrown in the microwave tastes just like lasagna. Ricotta is better for you than you think it is too. High Protein, low fat.

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
