rhayla 53 Posted November 1, 2014 Surgery is Monday, and I'm TERRIFIED! Am I making the right decision? I've only lost like 6 pounds on the liquid diet (2 weeks of it, and I get a small meal once a day) - CAN I EVEN DO IT? AAAAGGGHHHHHH!!!!!!!
Cherich 23 Posted November 1, 2014 I backed out on surgery 3 times. I was ready this time and have lost 70 pounds since July 1st. It's not always easy...but boy is it worth ii!
lissa876 0 Posted November 1, 2014 I had the surgery last Monday oct 27... I was asking myself the same thing but I did it!! Luckily no complications I just walked the halls at least a 100 times a day and showered like 3 times a day the gas pain is unbearable the first couple of days the hot shower helped me. I did get atelectasis... Which is partially collapsed lungs. Even though I was up and walking so make sure you take deep breaths and use the breathing exercises they give you. I am home now after 5 days in the hospital. It's tough watching everyone eat when I haven't ate in 9 days! Out of the list of stuff I can have I am only able to tolerate Water and sugar free Popsicles. I don't feel hungry I'm just used to eating. But it will be worth it. Good luck!
