jonajams 9 Posted November 1, 2014 Any last minute advice. I'm flying to TJ in the morning. Surgery on Sunday. This liquid diet is killing me hope I'm ok to fly and feel this crappy. I'm down 17 pounds though and feel like I'm well on my way
kgard1916 33 Posted November 1, 2014 Just got home from TJ Tuesday. Everyone was so nice. Just walk as much as possible it really does help. Don't get discouraged everyday gets better. The Wal-Mart area up the road from the Marriott is nice area to walk around. Every place we went took US dollar. Download a conversion app it will help because your change will be in pesos. Kindle 8,667 Posted November 1, 2014 (edited) I loved my visit to TJ. The Walmart employees were really nice. We went there many times because my sister made me walk there several times a day so she could get her Starbucks fix. Had great conversations comparing US Walmarts to their Walmart. Also had one very nice cashier give us some advice about handling dollars/pesos so we didn't look like such gullible tourists. Try and get to the avenude Revolucion area if you get a chance to shop. There was a corner shop with super yummy popsicles....I had the hibiscus. Traveling was no problem. Just make sure you get someone to lift your luggage for you postop if you are traveling alone. Otherwise walk walk walk! Edited November 1, 2014 by Kindle
