cjenkins74 31 Posted October 31, 2014 Can I go get a pedi just 3 days after surgery? My mom said she was told she couldn't shave her legs after surgery for some reason, does this sound correct?
Cody's mom 247 Posted October 31, 2014 Of course you can, you are no more at risk than anyone else. If it's a dirty filthy spa I'd advise against it for anyone.
AvaFern 3,516 Posted October 31, 2014 You're fine for a pedi. They may have told your mom not to shave her legs after surgery right away because anesthesia may take awhile to wear off. When you shave your legs, your head is generally at an odd angle that might make you dizzy, particularly if you're standing on one leg, in a slippery shower, while trying to shave the other leg. It may have been mostly as a precaution to ensure she didn't end up falling.
jessiquoi 623 Posted October 31, 2014 won't it be great when we can reach our feet well enough to give ourselves a pedi??? i can't wait!

meps413 46 Posted October 31, 2014 I think if you are comfortable sitting with your legs bent like that in the pedi chair, then go enjoy yourself!
Derouin4 30 Posted November 11, 2014 She might have been told to hold off if she was on blood thinners.
