kcaves 3 Posted October 31, 2014 I had my Roux en y on October 15th. My first weigh in was today and I'm down 25 lbs! We don't have a scale at home so I have been unable to weigh myself but that's how I wanted it. There are so few surprises in life anymore. Now that I've had this weigh in im off to get scales. So far things have gone pretty well. I had a drain for the first 10 days and having it removed was no picnic. I've not thrown up and don't plan on it if I can help it! Started out on this journey on May 26th at 387. On surgery date I was at 380 now I'm down to 355 as of today!
gahannagal 31 Posted October 31, 2014 CONGRATULATIONS! Great job, stay on program. I too don't want to get sick. I have gotten close, I have learned that its because I drank to much. The other is eating or drinking too fast. Make sure you are taking your time! I wish you luck with your journey. Enjoy the freedom losing the weight will bring! Jonathan Blue 311 Posted October 31, 2014 Congratulations! Keep up the amazing work. I can't wait to see how far you go in a year. Having a scale is a blessing and a curse. Just be sure you try and only weigh yourself once a week. This will keep you from falling into the traps that a lot of post surgery patients succumb to. At first it is exciting to see weight loss every day, but as things progress and your losses start leveling out it can get very frustrating to not see weight loss every day. Just something to keep in mind now.
