sunflowerchild 146 Posted October 30, 2014 I have gummy vitamins, and was wondering if they will be problem after surgery... anybody have experience? Also chewable calcium citrate I have no idea why but my NUT said chewable and chewy are okay but gummies are not for a couple weeks or something after surgery. lisacaron 5,075 Posted October 30, 2014 @@Seymour1971 I have used Gummy Vitamins after surgery and still use them today. I also use a chewable kind of gummy Calcium supplement as well. Should not be a problem for you but make sure you chew them well and one at at time if you have to take more then one.
Glockoma813 8 Posted October 30, 2014 I was told not to use gummies because they swell but I have found that Bariatric Advantage makes one specifically for each operation and lifestyle. But I'd love to hear what others use
CherieRyde 227 Posted October 31, 2014 I was told not to use gummy vitamins because they could get stuck in my stoma. I'd RATHER have my gummies than the Flintstones chewables I've been taking.
Mayaresearchmom 104 Posted October 31, 2014 (edited) The gummy vitamins do not contain Iron, as a precaution should a child get hold of them, so you would also need to add an iron supplement. Edited October 31, 2014 by Mayaresearchmom
