7.5 months out PAIN

Recommended Posts

Hi everyone.

I am 7.5 months out and doing amazing. I am down 98 pounds since surgery. I am blessed to say that things have gone perfectly….. until now. In the last two weeks I have been having pains in my upper stomach region, mostly at night. It is centered right where my rib cages meet at the top. It even hurts when I physically touch it. It tends to happen with dinner which is my biggest (still small) meal of the day. Has anyone else experienced this? I go to see my nutritionist on Friday but I am hoping to get a bit more insight between now and then.

Thanks in advance

I am having the same problem I have to lay on the couch with a heating pad. I also have a lot of burning . Feel like I want to vomit all the time. Mine started 2months ago. Went to the dr they have me on omeprazole 40 mg 2 times a day and just added ranitidine 300 mg no relief yet. After surgery first 10 months was great went to the gym and every thing now I don't feel like doing any thing. :(

Two months out from hiatal hernia repair.  Surgeon said to expect a lot more flatulence...something about the 'air' no longer being able to 'burp' out so comes out the other end.  That is my experience but have no understanding of why that swallowed air cannot be 'burped'. ???

Me too girl!! Are you in the full liquid diet right now? It’s sooooo hard!

      2. LadyVeteran1

Not yet. I was told I only have to do 24 hours of a liquid diet. But I have my pre-op tomorrow so I’m going to confirm if I need to do longer.

Down 33 lbs and slightly stalled, but I'm gonna reevaluate and push through. I started back to work last week after 2 years of being disabled due to mental health as well as my weight. It's a great job and I'm just so happy to have this opportunity at a second chance at life. Hope everyone is having their best journey ❤️ Together, we got this!
