BypassKrista 9 Posted October 29, 2014 Hey everyone! How is dating post op? I just had the surgery oct.20th but i was dating before than and cut who ever i was talking to off. It's not that he wasn't supportive, he just didn't understand why needed it after explaining a million times. Should we have a bypass mixer or something ? I know it's my time to focus on me but it would be nice to mingle a smidget.
Jonathan Blue 311 Posted October 30, 2014 This early in the game, I would definitely say you are right in needing to focus on you. There will be plenty of people knocking down your door to get to know you soon enough. If you are looking for people to get to know and hong out with, I cannot say enough about getting involved in local surgery support groups. Your doctors office should have one. Once you are several months out, you have progressed well, and your routines are in place, feel free to start testing the dating waters, until then just make a bunch of new friends and have a great time doing active things. This will be an amazing time of discover your new body and what it is fully capable of. I am so excited for you. If you have any additional questions or I can help out in any way, links to contact me are below.
