I was thinking about getting a Decaf skinny vanilla latte ... I think it is 90-100 calories I have a freebie I need to use. LOL!

I say go for it!

A tall, non fat Decaf latte has 10 grams of Protein and only 100 calories. As long as you add sugar free Syrup, you get no extra calories. I usually just get Splenda in mine, but every once in a while, I'll add sugar free mocha. I have one daily. If I'm needing extra calories, I get the grande. 130 calories and 13 grams of protein.

You all know starbucks sells Protein powder they're willing to steam with your milk?

I get it every day.

Grande skinny latte with 1 scoop Protein and 2 splenda $4.40.

The whey protein tastes like vanilla

I knew they had Protein Powder, I just didn't know it could be added to a hot drink. I usually get it in a mocha light frappucino, so that it gets blended. It doesn't clump in the latte?

No not of they steam it in the milk. If they won't steam it with the milk don't get it.

I got my freebie today. grande Decaf skinny vanilla latte with Protein.

Unfortunately they messed it up. They didn't mix the Protein powder in the cold milk before steaming it. I watched them mess it up. It had clumps so I spent a lot of time declumping it. The taste was great! Perfect coffee fix! Thanks guys.

Next time i will be sure to explain how to prevent the clumps

Yes and don't take no or some othe bs for an answer.

I have gotten - it's an allergen. What allergen? Well people who can't have whey. So a dairy allergen ? They won't be having latte

It clogs our steamers. No they don't you run the steamer right after. Most good baristas do.

When I see them do it and messing it up I stop them immediately and refuse it.

I get nonfat lattes once or twice a week. All that milk has some Protein and its a nice treat post gym

If you like frappachinos, you can ask them to make it without base. Even the light frap base has a ton of carbs. With out base its just coffee, milk, ice, and Syrup. It will change the texture some but it's still good.

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
