Genepro protein rocks!

Recommended Posts

Since being sleeved 5 days ago, I have been having a hard time getting my Protein. It is all too sweet. Upon the recommendation of this forum and checking with my nut, I ordered GENEPRO. I tried it for the first time tonight and it's amazing. You can't even taste it. I just mix it in my crystal lite and drink away! I'm so happy.

I am also in love with GENEPRO -- I've been using it about a month and a half.

Word of warning or bit of wisdom or how ever you want to say it... if you keep your drink with you on the go all day long as i do, do NOT forget it in a hot car or leave it sitting in the hot sun. The Protein powder is beloved by all, apparently, including miniscule flora in your drink. If it smells funky, it is - little algae blooms are beginning to appear and before long you will see the blooms coming out of various bits of Protein Powder stuck to the wall of your drinking cup.

This will not keep me away from my genepro... just will make me do a better job of marking where my drink gets left and how much time is going by between "sips" from my shaker-bottle drink which i carry everywhere. Sniff first!

No it is unflavored. But it is awesome can't taste it on anything and instead of a huge scoop the scoop is about a tablespoon.

i really love it for its low profile. it doesn't change the texture or flavor of what you add it to. so I use it in my iced tea, coffee, crystal light... it's just great.

Pippin., perhaps we can work out a trade? I need to top up my UK iTunes account and can't buy the gift cards in the States.

I love this stuff too!! I mix it into my unsweetened tea and my broths right now. I ordered mine off Amazon.com, not sure if they ship to the UK or not.

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
