Jennifer Rogers 111 Posted October 27, 2014 I was sleeved this past Tuesday October 21. I also had a hiatal hernia repair. I feel fantastic, and I'm wondering when I can start vacuuming again? I remember the nurse specifically telling me not to push the vacuum around for awhile. It's been a week...how long is "awhile"?
***** 155 Posted October 27, 2014 Hi @@Jennifer Rogers. Always check with your surgeon before attempting physical activity that you are unsure of. You surgeon has a very good idea of your internal anatomy and suture conditions. Some surgeons can be very lax regarding this area and some arent as much. It's just always a good idea to check in with them about this type of thing.

Jennifer Rogers 111 Posted October 27, 2014 Thank you each for your reply My 15 year old daughter, 19 year old son, and husband are doing really well helping me (they are just as excited for my new life as I am!)..however, I'm finding that I'm a little bored during these days of recovery. I've been walking A LOT, but because I'm not cooking and keeping house like I've always done, I feel like I'm spinning my wheels during the daylight hours. It's getting better..I'm just anxious I guess good news is I'm down 14 pounds! Wooohoooo!!! Thanks again for your quick responses. ????

Well if you have kids that can help, I would say you shouldn't vacuum for at least 6 months.
