Jen - a work in progress 178 Posted November 8, 2014 Does anyone know when we can eat popcorn? I was wondering the same thing the other day. I have my first post op follow up on Monday and will ask.
jstrong630 51 Posted November 8, 2014 Thanks @kathy812. This week has been a crappy one. I have been fine up until I have started soft food and hav w either felt nauseous or thrown up after every meal. I know part is I have to eat slower but I am getting really frustrated and wondering if I just made a huge mistake
***** 155 Posted November 8, 2014 @@jstrong630, What has your surgeons office told you about this? Just curious if you are still healing internally and just irritating things.
jstrong630 51 Posted November 8, 2014 I haven't called them yet, i have gone back done to soft purees today and everything has been okay so far so I think I was doing too much too soon.
KarenF1972 78 Posted November 8, 2014 Hello my little October sleevers! How is everyone doing this gloomy, freezing day? My day is strange. Slept in this morning for starters. When I was laying in bed I started having some discomfort in my tummy - upper abdomen below chest. When I moved it would go away. After I got up, I was still having it a little bit. Now it's gone away for the most part but I have some shoulder pressure and a little discomfort in my back. (Some also at my lower ribs, but I had that from time to time before surgery - I think it's the way I'm sitting because moving around helps it go away.) Not sure if it's a result of being more gassy today, not having a BM for a few days (TMI!!) despite having some ground turkey/hamburger the last few nights for dinner or hitting the treadmill a little harder last night. Ugh! Eating and drinking fine though, so..... Keep on plugging on I guess. What are you all eating for meals these days?

KarenF1972 78 Posted November 8, 2014 Nothing really symptomatic all the time. Was started on Prolisec in March cuz they thought it may be increasing asthma symtoms. I'm on Prilosec AM and PM since surgery so haven't had symtoms (that I've recognized anyways)!

***** 155 Posted November 8, 2014 Really interesting that it subsides when you move around. I wonder if it's musculoskeletal.
Jen - a work in progress 178 Posted November 8, 2014 My surgeon has me on omeprazole as a preventative for one month post op. I have a thing for spicy foods which I seriously need to lay off of for a while lol. I put hot sauce and spicy seasonings on a few of my meals lol.
