Thank-you all for sharing this information, it had given me lots of ideas :-) good news for me is that I've lost a few more pounds this week after a long stall then a gain, I'm now 209lb, the lightest I've been in about 20 years! ????????

Try not to graze but eat a small amt every 2 hours instead: a small handful of nuts or a slice of cheese are my choices at 7 months and I don't get hungry. Maybe by 11 weeks I can proceed to some slices of fruit or veggies.

I'm a big fan of Protein Bars, but I can't do the ones that taste like medicine. I love the PowerCrunch chocolate and Peanut Butter fudge bars. They taste like a treat but have 13 grams of Protein.< /p>

I also am a big fan of the Nature Vally Protein bars which have 10 grams of protein.

I can't really do whey but in this form, it seems to bother me less.

Just been waiting until time for my consult with my bariatric surgeon. It's scheduled for Jan 9th. Turns out I won't actually be seeing him. Apparently it'll be with his P.A.             Not sure what to expect. I thought this is where the surgeon would discuss the best surgery option for me. For years I had my heart set on the sleeve, but I've read so many people have issues with reflux - even if they've never had it before - that they've had to be revised to the bypass. I already deal with GERD & take 40 mg of Omeprazole daily, so I started studying about bypass and honestly, it seems like it might be the better choice for me. How can we discuss surgery options if the surgeon is not there?
What happened at your first consult? Trying to get an idea of what to expect, or maybe I should say, what NOT to expect.

I would like to know what questions you wish you had asked prior to your duodenal switch surgery?
