SBovee 20 Posted October 26, 2014 I lost 10lbs the first week home from surgery. I had surgery on Oct. 6th. I haven't lost an ounce since. Is anyone else in the same boat? Am I doing something wrong? I realize I didn't pack on the pounds over night but I'm starting to get frustrated.
Mayaresearchmom 104 Posted October 26, 2014 It's normal to hit a stall when you're about two weeks to three weeks postop. Just keep to the plan and you'll start losing the weight again in no time at all. It's just a mechanism for your body to help you recover after surgery. And you will actually have periodic stalls throughout the time that you're losing weight, during those times your body is resculpting itself and you'll be losing inches. Susie1104 9 Posted October 26, 2014 Me too, the scales are not moving, but the tape measure is showing results. I've got an appt with the nutritionist tomorrow, so I'm interested in what advice she will give me to keep the weight coming off.
Kindle 8,667 Posted October 26, 2014 (edited) It's called the 3 week stall and everyone has them. Its famous. Do a search for stalls on here or better yet, check out the sub forum "don't sweat the stall stuff". There are so many posts from newbies about the same old stalls thatAlex created a forum just for you. But my best advice is just stick with the plan, enjoy the journey and STAY OFF THE SCALE!
