I'm just wondering if anyone with the same insurance provider as me, UNICARE GIC Commonwealth Indemnity, can offer any advice and information. I am in the initial stages of a program at Newton Wellesley hospital.

I am part of GIC too but I have Harvard pilgrim ppo. I had my approval w/in 24hrs.

do you have to go to a specific bariatric program if you have GIC? ie do you need to go to an accredited hospital program?

I am also part of GIC but have Fallon select. When does the insurance company approve you for surgery ?
