I had surgery on October 20th, it's been four days. I could use any help on getting through this.

Are all Protein Shakes awful?

What are some good things to purée?

Try Isopure clear drinks, they aren't that bad.

these have ideas for the full liquid and pureed stages.

I personally did not like the Isopure clear. I got a sample pack of powders?utm_source=BariatricPal&utm_medium=Affiliate&utm_campaign=CommentLink" target="_ad" data-id="1" >unjury Protein online as well as a container of unflavored, which I add to the creamy Soups.

I have Fago 0 yogurt for Breakfast, add in Unjury strawberry sorbet, for flavor and Protein. I have a Protein Drink for lunch and then creamy chicken Soup (strained so no chicken bits) adding in unjury unflavored protein. Then sip sip sip Powerade zero all day and all night long.

I did Protein Shakes using sustained energy premium Protein Powder choc. Got it at Kroger's, Mixed with 1% milk and ice. The colder the better for me. And lots of popsicles and ice Water. I also did many cream Soups made with milk. Hot Decaf tea. I also ate yogurt thinned with milk. Hope this helps, go slow your body needs time to heal.

Just been waiting until time for my consult with my bariatric surgeon. It's scheduled for Jan 9th. Turns out I won't actually be seeing him. Apparently it'll be with his P.A.             Not sure what to expect. I thought this is where the surgeon would discuss the best surgery option for me. For years I had my heart set on the sleeve, but I've read so many people have issues with reflux - even if they've never had it before - that they've had to be revised to the bypass. I already deal with GERD & take 40 mg of Omeprazole daily, so I started studying about bypass and honestly, it seems like it might be the better choice for me. How can we discuss surgery options if the surgeon is not there?
What happened at your first consult? Trying to get an idea of what to expect, or maybe I should say, what NOT to expect.

I would like to know what questions you wish you had asked prior to your duodenal switch surgery?
