cryssyd3 80 Posted October 24, 2014 So I'm about to go to an appt with a PCP. This is a new pcp to me, I haven't needed to see a doctor in god knows how long and all my comorbities I found out about from my surgeons testing. I'm realllllyyyy nervous about asking for a letter of recommendation from this new guy. What do I even say? I plan on bringing a copy of my bloodwork I just had done and the stuff from the cardiologist and lung doctor. This is literally the last appt and thing I need to do before I can submit anything to insurance and I'm FREAKING OUT!! Help!! Advice! A hug? Lol
Elode 8,093 Posted October 24, 2014 @@cryssyd3 Don't freak out just ask him. You are paying him for his service. He should do it for you. My PCP is new to me to and she gave me one one the first and only visit I had with her. You Shouldn't have any problems. Good luck.

cryssyd3 80 Posted October 24, 2014 Ive lucked out so far. I've only started this whole process less than a month ago. I got all my appointments done super quick, didn't need to wait 6 months like with some insurances (thank god) and now Monday I have my last nutritionist appointment. My goal was to have everything complete by November 1st when my new insurance starts and so far so good! So exciting! I can't believe I'm actually doing this. cryssyd3 80 Posted October 24, 2014 I'm glad you got it! I also had to ask a brand new PCP for the letter on our first appointment haha. I can understand why you were nervous! OMG it was so nerve racking! And I barely had to ask him! I mentioned it to the nurse and she came back in and was like "ok, he'll be in in a minute and after the exam he'll write up the letter with you." I must've said 'thank you' a thousand times, I literally almost cried hahaha
