jes76 16 Posted October 24, 2014 Trying to decide if I should stay in the hospital another night. Having a hard time getting all the fluids down and dehydration is a concern.
jes76 16 Posted October 24, 2014 Ok, not so well now. I can't seem to get the fluids in. I feel so full and bloated. The neck and shoulder pain is also unreal. Looks like I will need to stay another night in the hospital do to the fact that I am unable to get down enough fluids. I Really Wanted To Go Home.
mrsramirez2010 1 Posted October 25, 2014 Don't worry! I was sleeved on Tuesday morning and felt great that night and next morning. I quickly realized by afternoon that an extra night in the hospital would do me some good. I was released yesterday afternoon and it's been challenging getting all of the liquids in. But let's face it, surgery was definitely not an easy way out and we are here to put in work. Fluid consumption and gas delivery is much better today. So hang in there! You will feel better soon. Sip, sip, and sip! ! If I can do it so can YOU! Congratulations on this life changing decision and best of luck to you. ????
kimpossible67 608 Posted October 25, 2014 Once the pain ceases you'll realize quickly that this is a full time job. Trying to get in fluids is HARD let alone Protein. Do your best and realize you are not alone. The first few months are frustrating but it all works itself out!
belovedwar 5 Posted October 25, 2014 Congratulations! My experience went pretty smooth, but when I got home, I could not find a comfortable sleeping position. I ended up buying a recliner and it definitely helped. Hope you're feeling better tomorrow! Good luck!
JCP 619 Posted October 25, 2014 Take those pain meds and sleep! Your body has been through trauma. This is not an easy surgery or recovery but it will all pass and you will be much healthier and happier. Please try to rest.
Fireweed56 8 Posted October 25, 2014 My sleeve surgery is scheduled for 10/30 in Everrett WA. I did quite a bit of research over the past few years and a short 4 hour flight from Alaska would make a lot of difference if I were having any difficulty. My husband and I fly out on Monday and I will me my surgeon (Dr Kauffman) for the first time. We've spoken over the phone but haven't met directly. I looked his practice and checked his track record through AMA. Starting the worrywart part that others have stated feeling too just before surgery. Thank you all for sharing. I will be tapping into the Oct sleevers more often from pre and post surgery. I'm enjoying Ideal Protein products both sweet and savory. They much more flavorful than the Unjury brand. Are the other Oct 30 scheduled sleevers out there?
