nessa259 19 Posted October 23, 2014 I am two weeks post op and I am still very very tired. I can't get up in the morning with my alarm which is usually not an issue for me. Is that normal? If so, how long will this last? I could sleep anywhere at anytime. I don't like that!! Any insight would be appreciated.
bearhugs1975 57 Posted October 23, 2014 I am only 4 days out and the tiredness is still plaguing me. I would also like to know from some veterans how long this lasts. I am planning to go back to work today and hopefully I can make it all day, but I am lucky that if j get tired, I can just tired and go home. Have so progressed to food with a little more nutrition yet?
Mayaresearchmom 104 Posted October 23, 2014 It takes at least a month to get over the fatigue. Even though it may not seem like it,because of the small incision sites, we just had MAJOR surgery, it takes a while for our bodies to recuperate. In the first few weeks, it's important to follow what your body tells you it needs. Once you are able to get in more Protein and fluids, it gets better quickly. Comeflywithme 402 Posted October 23, 2014 Yes very normal but it does change, probably in about 2 more weeks.... then your energy level will be ridiculous! You'll be like the energizer bunny. Good luck, stay positive, keep walking and drink that Protein and sips of Water -- very important!! and walk walk walk walk!
