Domawa 17 Posted October 22, 2014 I am 1 day out and doing pretty well. I forgot to ask my dr if it was normal to have pain as the Water you are sipping hits the stomach. I have a sharp pain and cramp like feeling every time I drink anything. Is this normal and will it get better. Thanks!
krydmo 10 Posted October 22, 2014 I had bypass, I'm a month out but I still have this problem with Water and food. When I asked my doc a week ago, he said I was still healing. Make sure you are taking small sips. Hang in there..Hopefully it gets better soon!

Sharon Walls 24 Posted October 22, 2014 I couldn't do plain Water until just a couple of days ago (4 weeks out). My husband was sleeved 3+ years ago and still can't do plain Water (but he can add some Mio drops to it and tolerate it just fine). I have another friend who was sleeved 3 years ago who can only drink Dasani as a plain water choice - must be the added minerals? For the first 3 weeks, every time I sipped plain water it felt like I just ate a bunch of aquarium gravel (no, I haven't really eaten gravel, but I imagine that's what it would feel like). But I take my morning meds with pain water and the last couple of day it hasn't hurt.
Marietizzy 5 Posted October 23, 2014 I used to drink nothing but pain Water. Now can't tolerate. I mix about 2/3 water and 1/3 juice. I have trouble drinking that. Go figure!
