Called insurance today, waiting for letter to be recieved by my doctor so I can schedule the surgery!!!

Best wishes to all you guys out there still working on it!

I gathered my own weight history and did all of the "leg-work" and faxed it to the insurance coordinator myself so it would go faster.

good luck guys!

What kind of history did you send? A letter from you or actual chart notes from the doctor and reciepts from the gym?

My Dr sent everything in on friday. I gave them a letter to send from me that had a pretty detailed description of my diet and exercise history, but I don't know if it will be good enough. I hope they take my word for it. I should have sent a picture so that they would see how much I really need this surgery!

Actual chart notes. Doctors should weigh you at visits, and that's what the insurance company wants, a sheet from a chart with the date, your name, and your weight.

Come to think of it, I didn't give my doctor a detailed weight history. I was supposed to but I neglected it (not on purpose, I'm a mom and have so much to do).

Thanks! Now, after approval, I'm having a terribly tough time deciding what doctor to go to.

I've decided where to go, my insurance made it easy--- the doctor I already saw is in-network, and the other doctor I wanted to see is NOt!

So there, it's decided, where I'm going, and how it's getting paid for. I just have to eat my pre-op diet, do my pre-op testing, and anticipate the surgery date (which is yet to be scheduled due to paperwork being processed)

Big relief. Although I have the overwhelming urge to eat a bag of chips and drink a 7UP now. LOL!

Hi, I’m new here. I’m currently on the liver shrinking diet. So far so good, but I have to say I haven’t found a protein shake I like. Anyone have any suggestions please? My surgery date is September 17th.

Fairlife Core are by far the best. They taste just as they are - chocolate milk. You can either get the 26 grams or the 42 grams (harder to find and more expensive). For straight protein look at Bulksuppliments.com ..they have really good whey proteins and offer auto ship plus they test for purity. No taste or smell...

Fairlife has strawberry, vanilla and of course chocolate. No more calories than other protein drinks. Stay away from Premiere, they're dealing with lawsuits due to not being honest about protein content.
