sugar free Jello and pudding. I'm 6 days post-op so still on liquids. I add a little bit of sfree chocolate pudding (powder) to my cream of wheat. Yum!

Some of those questions depend on where a person is in their weight loss journey . As you add food each week your "must have" list changes.

I had the popsicles and SF Jello for about the first 2 weeks then have not had either since. (I'm 6.5 months post op) I had tuna for a few weeks but will probably never eat it again. Same with white flaky fish. Once I got on "real" food things changed and the variety really increased.

Right now my must have, go to when all else fails food is Dannon light and fit strawberry cheesecake yogurt. I have a fridge full. I also always have nuts and Peanut Butter available. I do find myself eating lunch meat almost daily. Sometimes ham, some times turkey, other times roast beef. I use Foldit bread with cheese for lunch most days.

beverages you like are a must. Either pre-made or in packets. I'm a big tea person so I have a lot of that at home.

I cook all the normal stuff for my family. I'm no the slightly bit phased by what they eat. Sometimes it works out that I can eat what they are eating, and other times I would not dream of eating it.

I cannot live with sf Popsicles. The ones in the yellow box only. I'm on my liquid pre op but could not make it without them.

Two months out from hiatal hernia repair.  Surgeon said to expect a lot more flatulence...something about the 'air' no longer being able to 'burp' out so comes out the other end.  That is my experience but have no understanding of why that swallowed air cannot be 'burped'. ???

Me too girl!! Are you in the full liquid diet right now? It’s sooooo hard!

      2. LadyVeteran1

Not yet. I was told I only have to do 24 hours of a liquid diet. But I have my pre-op tomorrow so I’m going to confirm if I need to do longer.

Down 33 lbs and slightly stalled, but I'm gonna reevaluate and push through. I started back to work last week after 2 years of being disabled due to mental health as well as my weight. It's a great job and I'm just so happy to have this opportunity at a second chance at life. Hope everyone is having their best journey ❤️ Together, we got this!
