Definitely try the B12 sublingual. And I know we are supposed to avoid carbs early on, but I felt better on the days I added fruit to my Protein Shake. I used peaches, mangos and bananas for the first 3 months and then added strawberries, blueberries and raspberries after I was allowed to have seeds. Plain Water and artificial sweeteners also hurt my sleeve, so I was drinking a lot of 100% fruit juice diluted with water. I'm 11 months out, have lost 100 pounds and am maintaining 12 pounds under goal, so the extra carbs certainly haven't sabotaged my weight loss.

What do your current labs say? Are you anemic? Anemia and dehydration can make you feel awful.

I did some research and it turns out that there's an enzyme secreted in the portion of the stomach that is removed that helps break down the B-12 so pills won't do any good. So, I'm doing the sublingual drops too. I'm wondering though - how much and how often? I got some at a Vitamin store and it's 5,000 units! I'm only doing it once a week now. Is once a week enough? Too much?

Just monitor with your regular bloodwork. I take 500 every other day and my levels are spot on. But everyone is different. And it's virtually impossible to take too much B12. It's a Water soluble vitamin so you just pee out the extra (makes your pee really yellow)
