Timmy2shirts 3 Posted October 20, 2014 First I want to start off by saying I love this site. Everyone is so supportive, I love coming here. Okay here is my question. I use a Cpap machine every night and have to admit I actually make sure I use it, I get a little worried if I don't. I notice that some times when I wake up I feel like I have air in my stomach, it usually goes away quickly when I get up. One or two loud burps and it's gone. Now in regard to surgery do you think this would cause the incision to open? I'm planning on asking the surgeon during my next weight check but that is 3 weeks out and wondering if any else had a similar thought?
***** 155 Posted October 20, 2014 No i do not feel this would impact your incision. I used mine in the hospital with no issues and im on a fairly high setting.
Tamster01 36 Posted October 20, 2014 I have to have a CPAP machine. Just found out I have sleep apnea. Will that stop surgery?

The_Wallflower 6 Posted October 20, 2014 My surgeon wouldn't let me bring mine to the hospital, and I wasn't allowed to use it bc of the air for 6 weeks.
***** 155 Posted October 20, 2014 @@The_Wallflower, did they have you on oxygen?
The_Wallflower 6 Posted October 20, 2014 Yes. They had me on the cannula till discharge. Then just had me sleep upright till I could use it again.
