dwalls55 1 Posted October 19, 2014 I AM ONLY TWO DAYS POST OP AND CANT DECIDE WHETHER THE LITTLE BUBBLING IN MY STOMACH IS ACTUALLY HUNGER OR AIR. I KNOW THIS SOUNDS SILLY BUT ITS A DIFFERENT FEELING THAN THE HUNGER I HAD BEFORE.
Kitt3000 757 Posted October 19, 2014 I remember that! Oh wait- mine still makes those noises. Lol! I find for me, it's not hunger, more like pulling the plug in the sink, and hearing everything gurgle on the way down. Eventually, (some days I think it's never going to stick), I hope to be so in touch with my body, that my mind will just know, it's not true hunger, it's all in my muscle memory- and of course, the gurgle sink! Cheers!
JustWatchMe 7,117 Posted October 20, 2014 Mine's making noises right now and I'm definitely not hungry. Seven months post op here. Oh well!
CherieRyde 227 Posted October 20, 2014 I've learned that the feeling you described comes back with fills. You will know when you are hungry. One minute you are fine, and the next you feel like "OMG I need to eat NOW or I'm going to pass out right here!" I've compared this with the experience my friends who have had other WLSs have, and it seems to be the same across the board. Also ... there will be times when you can feel your food going into your stoma and through the band. It's .... weird.
