MsUjima 109 Posted October 19, 2014 I discussed this with my nutritionist - they admitted that the low fat diet they recommend is not necessarily consistent with the most current research - but that they (nutritionist) have a hard time going against conventional norm. http://www.businessinsider.com/13-nutrition-lies-that-made-the-world-sick-and-fat-2013-10?op=
talking mountain 26 Posted September 23, 2015 That article is not scientifically accurate at all. A very low-fat (10-20%), whole food, plant-based diet has been proven over and over again to be absolutely the most healthful diet. When are obtained by eating the foods from which they are extracted (e.g. Corn not corn oil; olives not olive oil, peanuts not peanut oil), you get the full benefit of the food instead of a ton of calories with only a tiny bit of nutritional benefit. The problem is, most studies that compare low-fat to other diets are not low fat at all. They are typically 25 to 50% fat!
GBLady41 393 Posted November 2, 2016 This article is actually very scientific, as proven by all of the studies done. It's all in the low carb diet. Sent from my iPad using the BariatricPal App 1 real sight reacted to this
