Jersrose43 837 Posted October 18, 2014 Well I had some bacon for the first time since my surgery june 24. Well I won't be doing that for a long time again. I like it really crisped up and baked. I had one piece and it sat like a lead balloon for hourssssssss
Forsythia 882 Posted October 19, 2014 Well, that's a bummer. Bacon is meat's fruit (not my quote.. but funny, right?). Sorry it got stuck

Forsythia 882 Posted October 19, 2014 Sadly, everything I have tried basically agrees with my sleeve. It's all willpower now. But personally if I am going to go for a salty pork product it's gonna be proscuitto every time.

RJ'S/beginning 5,358 Posted October 19, 2014 Almost 2 years out and still have a rocky relationship with some beef and pork. tuna and some other foods. I try them and don't give up. You should try them now and then to see if your sleeve has changed and you can now tolerate it. K
Nevermind 117 Posted October 19, 2014 (edited) You had me at Bacon. lol. I have Butterball turkey bacon, low sodium and love it. Regular bacon is a little harder to digest. I was dead against trying turkey bacon but I was pleasantly surprised at how delicious is. Edited October 19, 2014 by Nevermind
