sweethime 3 Posted October 18, 2014 I've had surgery exactly 1 month ago and ]near or under my large incision I still feel pain especially in the evenings. Does anyone else feel that way or is it something I should worry about? I would appreciate the feedback since it's driving me a little nuts...
Nicole Cloud 39 Posted October 18, 2014 I am almost 3 months in and still have some pain, but mainly when I exercise but I would say if it continues or gets worse to go see your surgeon he or she may be able to find out why this is happening.
NicoleSW 78 Posted October 18, 2014 I haven't had surgery yet but I had a stereotactic breast biopsy three years ago and I would get sharp pains where the probe was placed for 6 months to a year. It would just happen periodically and it was a pinching/stabbing feeling. I was told it was normal so I'm sure it's probably similar? That muscle and tissue has been through a lot! Give it time and ask your surgeon if you're concerned.
sweethime 3 Posted October 18, 2014 Thank you both for your feedback. I was feeling better a few days ago but now it's starting to hurt again. I guess I'll have to wait through the weekend to ask my surgeon. Another thing I've noticed here in the forum is that most have the largest incision on the left while mine is on the right. Curious to why...

amazon 579 Posted October 18, 2014 At 4 weeks mine was still bothering me. It actually seemed worse. But by 6 weeks I'd forgotten all about it :-) I think it's just the healing process. Just don't over do it.
KQH 69 Posted October 18, 2014 Mine magically became better between 4-6 weeks too! I was told it was the nerves healing/growing but who knows?
1Sleevecomingup 185 Posted October 19, 2014 My Doc... the pain will get worse as you become more active. But better. Over time...
I will what I want 271 Posted October 19, 2014 Same thing is happening for me. I'm super frustrated. I've spent the last month pretty much on my back in bed because the pain is awful. Have been to the doctor twice and he says it's all normal and fine. I'm completely regretting this surgery right now. My weight loss has been slow even though my calories are low etc. :-(. Doesn't seem worth it at all right now. Hopefully later it will. Today, not so much.
norcalkitty 29 Posted October 19, 2014 My german shepherd lurched to get at another dog and I strained my muscles. I had very little pain before and now I am back to using my ab binder. The surgeon said alternate heat and ice and take an acetominophen. I am 3 weeks out.
