Went in for Roux en y, but was given an Omega Loop Gastric Bypass

My husband had the same issue, could eat and drink and never got the full feeling. We also were concerned something wasn't right. He is now 6wks post op and last week started to get the full feeling. We weighed his food to make he didn't go over the recommended oz since he didn't feel full. So hang in there....it will come.

Thanks for sharing this - I'm only 6 days post-op, and wondering why I'm not getting that stuffed feeling from full liquids like sfree pudding or cream of wheat. No issues getting plenty of fluids in. Have been worried that something didn't take with my surgery!

Hi Tina! I feel the same way! I had RNY 11 weeks tomorrow, and I have only felt restricted once! I jokingly asked the surgeon if he actually did the surgery. (Later realized how offensive that was!) Anyhow, it's nice to hear that someone else has this experience.
