meps413 46 Posted October 16, 2014 I've always had terrible allergies, and the few times I've gotten a cold, they've been nasty. I was sleeved in august, and am currently fighting my second cold since then. Two colds in three months feels like a lot. Did anyone else find themselves more susceptible to colds after surgery? kadirkara 10 Posted October 16, 2014 I got my second cold a week after my first one. I'm a bit worried as it seems like a lot.
Miss Mac 6,262 Posted October 16, 2014 Less for me....no cold, no sniffles, no flu. Might be the extra Vitamins, nutrients, and Protein that I wasn't getting in my previous life pre-op.

kadirkara 10 Posted October 16, 2014 I was the same. Wasn't really on top of my Vitamin intake. I'm on it now though lol
kccat3594 9 Posted October 17, 2014 I had non stop sneezing the day I came home from the hospital and it lasted for three days. Not sure what that was about.
Kindle 8,667 Posted October 17, 2014 At 10 months out I finally got my first cold. I was travellling and attended a conference, so was exposed to hundreds of new people's germs. But the symptoms were fairly mild and didn't last very long. I attribute my good health to eating so much healthier since surgery (I make it a point to eat plenty of fruits and veggies in addition to protein) and taking my Multivitamins everyday. I also started drink Sleepytime tea with echinacea and Emergenc-C before and during any travel to help boost my immune system.
