Tailbone problems anyone?

Recommended Posts

I couldn't sit still for the first 8 months. Pain, Pain, and. more Pain.

Then it just stopped. I think my body compensated for the lack of "padding" on my behind and made some adjustments.

There is light at the end of the tunnel and the pain in the @$$ was well worth it.

Good Luck to all

Oh my gosh I thought mine was due to a tumble on the ice while ice skating! I am going to see if they will ship to Canada.

This is so interesting. I was reading the veteran's forum and this seems to be common. Not just the tailbone, but boniness in general, causing pain while sleeping. This is something I never thought of. I suggest you go to the veteran's forum and read what they have done to help. Best wishes to you for a pain-free commute!

I thought I was loosing my marbles. My butt hurts whenever I sit, of course it has begun to get really flat so I assumed I was losing my padding. I am constantly shifting in my seat.

I notice this while sitting in the bathtub. That is the only place. Ouch is right! Best wishes!

Lol. I was just telling my wife about this!!! My problem too. Went to see a movie the other day and had to shift around for two hours. Hoping as I go down in weight it goes away. I'm not real big on having to sit on a special pillow.

I am learning so much! I couldn't think what I did. Noticed that I am losing around the hips and backside. What helped was doing butt squeezes to strengthen muscles. Done when sitting and right before going to bed. Also watch my posture and try to sit straight. Also have memory foam pad on my bed.

I lost a lot of weight back in 2008 and suffered the same problem. Here's some relief ... it's called a coccyx cushion. The lease expensive place I've found to buy one is Walgreens.com and they're only $19.99. The specific name of this one is Duro-Med Sloping Coccyx Cushion450.jpg

DO NOT go to the store because they only sell them online. I have 3 of them one in the car, kitchen chair and desk. They are WONDERFUL! Hope this helps

Thank you!!! :-) :-)

I use to have tailbone pain problems too, but I had a wonderful plastic surgeon that used the fat grafts from my lower back when I had my lower body lift, created two pouches in my butt, put them in there to give me a butt, and more importantly, a pain free life when I sit down time.

Pictures are in my gallery on this site.

I had no idea other people were having the same problem too.

So glad I came across this. I too thought I was nuts. Mine is hip pain though. Wakes me up several times during the night. And we recently bought a VERY expensive bed that I was loving because it relieves any pressure points. So I was sleeping pain free. Then I lose 43 pounds and I'm in more pain than I was when I was pregnant with bad hips. Not really sure how to relieve the pain. I'm typically a side sleeper but have had to keep going to my back because of the pain when I lay on my hips.

Hi, I’m new here. I’m currently on the liver shrinking diet. So far so good, but I have to say I haven’t found a protein shake I like. Anyone have any suggestions please? My surgery date is September 17th.

Fairlife Core are by far the best. They taste just as they are - chocolate milk. You can either get the 26 grams or the 42 grams (harder to find and more expensive). For straight protein look at Bulksuppliments.com ..they have really good whey proteins and offer auto ship plus they test for purity. No taste or smell...

Fairlife has strawberry, vanilla and of course chocolate. No more calories than other protein drinks. Stay away from Premiere, they're dealing with lawsuits due to not being honest about protein content.
