So kind of a personal question

How often do u typical urinate through the day? since surgery and going back to work I maybe urinate twice a day. I drink (Maybe not as much as I should). I have a hard time having to time food and drinking. I usually always feel thirsty and will most always pick drinking over wanting to eat. Just debating if this is something I should make my doc aware of.

Not positive but I'd say you really needs to be drinking more. I pee about 4-6 times a day and that's with me struggling to get my Water in on Day 8 post op. Signs of dehydration are dry mouth, dark color urine, and prolly more. Just try to overdo for now. Good luck!

I pee up to 8 times if I manage a full 64 ounces

If I don't maybe 4 times

I think you should be looking for signs such as dark and smelly pee - means not enough Water. Mine was dark before surgery because I never drank enough. Now it's like a lite lemonade and no smell.

Talk to doc

I wouldn't go purely based on the number of times, but as already mentioned the color/odor.

I have never had issues getting in my fluids, as I usually have had at least 64oz by noon, however there are days I'll visit the restroom 2 or 3 times and others 10+ times.

But as already mentioned, it is crucial that you get the fluids and the Protein. Without either, you'll be losing slower and potentially causing other issues (especially the dehydration).

I am the same way 2-4 times. I do get close to my 80 oz but never over. I alway check color to make sure it's light.

Just been waiting until time for my consult with my bariatric surgeon. It's scheduled for Jan 9th. Turns out I won't actually be seeing him. Apparently it'll be with his P.A.             Not sure what to expect. I thought this is where the surgeon would discuss the best surgery option for me. For years I had my heart set on the sleeve, but I've read so many people have issues with reflux - even if they've never had it before - that they've had to be revised to the bypass. I already deal with GERD & take 40 mg of Omeprazole daily, so I started studying about bypass and honestly, it seems like it might be the better choice for me. How can we discuss surgery options if the surgeon is not there?
What happened at your first consult? Trying to get an idea of what to expect, or maybe I should say, what NOT to expect.

I would like to know what questions you wish you had asked prior to your duodenal switch surgery?
