RitaRIver 3 Posted October 15, 2014 Hello all! I'm in the beginning stages of going through my journey to lap band. I was just curious as to how many of you had to take an h. pylori urea test? I am having difficulty following their NO ANTIBIOTICS for 2 weeks prior because I am frequently on prednisone and antibiotic combinations for a recurring lung infection. How important is this test? The Candidate 3,215 Posted October 17, 2014 I was required to take an H. Pylori Stool test as part of my pre-op labs/tests. But all I had to do was pick up a specimen jar and bring it back. BTW there's nothing more humbling than handing your stool over to a complete stranger. I try and remember that whenever I'm having a bad day - it could be worse, like if I had a job that required me to handle someone else's poop. That was about a month ago and I've never heard anything back, so I'm assuming its negative.
