smb0187 32 Posted November 7, 2014 Hi everyone! I've made it to Mexico. Done my pre op testing and we are hanging out at the hotel right now. Went down to the restaurant and had my broth while my husband got some food. My mother in law is here with us also and she unfortunately was told she can't have the surgery because she is severely anemic and they think she might have a tumor on her lung. Becca R. 59 Posted November 7, 2014 Thanks for checking in @@smb0187! I'm really, really sorry about your mother-in-law. That's awful news!! I hope she's able to get a full check up when she gets back home. Can you tell me what your pre-op testing was like? @@Revgirl -- how's it going for you? healthierhappierme 14 Posted November 7, 2014 @@Revgirl - thinking about you....... @@smb0187 - thanks for keeping us informed. Sorry to hear about your mother-in-law - hopefully she will make an appointment for further testing as soon as she gets home. KristenVSG2014 1,872 Posted November 7, 2014 @ - how are you feeling? I'm actually kind of hot right now so I have a cold compress on my head. I've been taking my antibiotics so hopefully nothing more will come of it. Besides that I'm feeling pretty good physically but I'm kind of frustrated with my husband. He brought home a hamburger and French fries. Now he's sitting beside me eating an ice cream cone. *I will not punch him, I will not punch him...*
Becca R. 59 Posted November 7, 2014 Oooof, krisrpaz. I'm deep into the liquids only pre-op and if my spouse showed up with a hamburger and fries, I would probably cry. Just sayin'... I know that a temp of up to 100.3 is normal after anesthesia, so I hope yours stays low-grade. How's the drinking going? Hi @SusieMN!
KristenVSG2014 1,872 Posted November 8, 2014 It's not too difficult to get liquids in but getting Protein in is a little different. I just don't care for the taste of Isopure. I am looking forward to full liquids next week.
smb0187 32 Posted November 8, 2014 We got to the hospital at about 11 and they did the testing then. They do blood work, take a urine sample, take a chest x Ray and do an EKG. My husband just sat here and ate rice pudding and also has blue berry cheesecake. Since I'm so close to having the surgery I'm ok with it.
