Insurance Question: What does this requirement typically mean?

Recommended Posts

I have had the same PCP for 20+ years and he has seen me diet and lose and gain for most of that, on plans like WW, on meds he prescribed for me, etc, so my insurance company was happy with his word.

I had to fill out a form where I was instructed to list every diet I have been on for the last ten years. When I was on it, for how long, how much weight I lost etc etc. Wow was that a long list! I not only gave it to the Surgeons office but when the insurance company wanted the same information I made a copy for them as well. There was no way I wanted to try to think of all that stuff again. In terms of the monitored plan, I had to do 6 months for my insurance company. It was monitored by my PCP's nutritionist. I went once a month. I was told by the insurance specialist in my surgeons office that whether I lost weight or not during the 6 month monitored program really didn't make a difference in terms of whether I got approved or not.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.

Hi, I’m new here. I’m currently on the liver shrinking diet. So far so good, but I have to say I haven’t found a protein shake I like. Anyone have any suggestions please? My surgery date is September 17th.

Fairlife Core are by far the best. They taste just as they are - chocolate milk. You can either get the 26 grams or the 42 grams (harder to find and more expensive). For straight protein look at Bulksuppliments.com ..they have really good whey proteins and offer auto ship plus they test for purity. No taste or smell...

Fairlife has strawberry, vanilla and of course chocolate. No more calories than other protein drinks. Stay away from Premiere, they're dealing with lawsuits due to not being honest about protein content.
