Hello there! I am 4 1/2 months post-op and to date I have lost about 86 pounds! Getting the Gastric Sleeve was the best decision I ever made. I documented this journey from days after I made the decision to get the surgery, until just a couple weeks ago! I would love for you to come on an adventure with me as I make my way to Onederland....

Good for you! I'm 5 1/2 months out now, and closing in on Onederland too, but am stuck at 203 as if there's some magnetic force-field keeping me here! It's infuriating!! I'm exercising 6 days a week and eating carefully and no starchy carbs at all, so i know it'll come down eventually. Sigh. It's great to see your pictures mfm116 and look forward to posting my own once I hit 198! (I'd be afraid 199 was a fluke, so my personal "onederland" is 198) and my end-goal is 145. Keep at it folks, and we'll cheer each other to our current finish lines, which will of course only be new starting lines, right!?

Love your blog..I started my journey getting sleeved Dec 2013. I discovered it gets harder to lose those last few pounds..I started at 310 lbs my goal was to lose 150 lbs and I am still working hard..but I am glad I lost 100 lbs and could not have done it without this surgery and my new mentality towards nutrition and health.

Just been waiting until time for my consult with my bariatric surgeon. It's scheduled for Jan 9th. Turns out I won't actually be seeing him. Apparently it'll be with his P.A.             Not sure what to expect. I thought this is where the surgeon would discuss the best surgery option for me. For years I had my heart set on the sleeve, but I've read so many people have issues with reflux - even if they've never had it before - that they've had to be revised to the bypass. I already deal with GERD & take 40 mg of Omeprazole daily, so I started studying about bypass and honestly, it seems like it might be the better choice for me. How can we discuss surgery options if the surgeon is not there?
What happened at your first consult? Trying to get an idea of what to expect, or maybe I should say, what NOT to expect.

I would like to know what questions you wish you had asked prior to your duodenal switch surgery?
